I like RPG's, Open World games, Action Adventure, 3rd prson shooters are ok, as long as its not the entire game, e.i Socom.

i HAVE FALLOUT AND FARCRY ECT...
i would say prototype or infamous(infamous is a ps3 exclusive so you know it's going to be good, it plays like a shooter while prototype plays more like a fighter or brawler which i know is very good, both are), unchartred is very good (good storyline, characters, and gameplay overall really good and now that the new one is coming out in a few months you should play it, Little Big Planet is great, i know it looks little childish but very good has a lot of user created content that you can download and share (if your in to that kind of thing), i know you said no fps but killzone 2 is one of the best online games for the ps3 so far and you don't have to play the first one to understand it another great fps games coming out is m.a.g which is 256 player online game, god of war games are always the best even though 2 of them are on the ps2, very good storyline, warhawk is okay not the best replay value but a great game for 20 bucks none the less. madden game if you like sports games or mlb the show which is another exclusive, hawx great story and simulator/game assassins creed, should be played if you plan on playing the second one thats coming out this November, elder scrolls is a good rpg game but to i like playing rpgs like that and fallout 3 on the pc but thats me (to each its own) gta 4 one of the best open world games, guitar hero 5 coming out soon, god of war 3, gonna be the best game ever, gran turismo 5 coming out soon
there are also alot of good psn (arcade games on the playstation network) games you can get some playstation classics, i recently bought the orignal Metal Gear Solid game.
