So you want to play a great prank on your friends or some unknowing person or even a group of people but don't know where to start. Maybe you've been watching all of the online prank videos and think that you can do better, which I'm sure you can. It's all a matter of a few things coming together. What type of prank are you planning on pulling, who are you going to prank and most important your timing & execution of the prank.
The first thing you need to figure out is what type of prank you plan on pulling. Do you just want to fart in an elevator full of people you know? Or do you want to toss a manikin off of a roof and make it look like a real person just leaped to their death in front of national television? It's all about how far you want to take it and what you're comfortable with. As soon as you figure out what you feel like doin or think you are going to do it's time to move on to the next step.
Who's your victim? Do you just want to send your dad some gay porn in his e-mail? Has one of your buddies been getting on your nerves a little bit and you feel like you need to take some revenge. Maybe you just want to prank some unsuspecting innocent bystander or a group of them. Either way you need to have a target and this will help you in the planning of your prank.
Alright now it's down to the timing and execution which is key because I feel that this is where if you are going to get humor from your prank it has to be in the timing. I don't know if you seen the prank this guy pulled on his buddy where he put a dead bird in the box of cereal and video taped the reaction to it, but this prank had perfect timing, in fact it was a well planned perfectly timed prank.
What he did was he planned out the prank by knowing his friend wakes up early every day and eats cereal. So from that information he needed to find something that was going to be pretty much completely revolting (a dead bird) and place it into his friends box of cereal. He places the camera in a hidden location that is going to catch all of the action because he's not going to be in the room to possibly give himself away before the mission is complete.
The victim wakes up early in the morning heads downstairs grabs the milk from the fridge a bowl the box of cereal and a spoon. As he starts to poor the cereal into the bowl a dead bird comes sliding out of the box and lands in his bowl of cheerios or whatever it was he was about to munch on. The guy freaks out in classic fashion and will probably never eat cereal again, I know I wouldn't.
It's a great example of bringing everything together to create a perfect prank. Which is generally not something just everyone can do. It takes some dedication to perfect the art of pranking, but practice makes perfect so don't let a few not so great pranks or even failures stop you from becoming the worlds greatest prankster.
